With all the talk this season of the removal of the
Christian symbols and verbage from Christmas, we got a little flustered.
A perfect example was a parade and party which Devin's grade had at school.
Instead of a Christmas party it was a Winter Parade and Holiday Party.
We were tasked with creating a costume for Devin for the parade so that he
could be a train car. We happily decorated the car with lots of
Christmas symbols and wrapping paper with the words "Merry Christmas" all
over it. Our little form of protest.
Ginger gears up for a white Christmas.
Devin takes a risky move while Caitlin cringes in
anticipation at a family game of Jenga.
Greg cooks up some tamale fixin's at the Drabik's (Angela's
sister) annual tamale making party.
Angela gets dog-piled by all of the chillen's.
Devin does an impressive tumbling spin on the trampoline
while friend Caleb Carter looks on. Yes, Devin lands on his feet.
The kids feed the horses some oranges while sampling the
goods themselves.
Devin spells it all out for Santa with his list of wishes
at the Mansfield city Christmas fair.
Caitlin made a beautiful snow angel in the bit of snow we
were blessed with this season.
Devin got a hover craft UFO thingy for Christmas.
He also got a remote controlled truck which totally freaked
Ginger out.
New Years Eve fireworks brings out the pyromaniac in all
children, including Greg.
Jan 1, 2005 and Devin's in for a long winter's sleep.
