Greg's shoes are attacked by four Chocolate Labrador
puppies as we try to decide which one we want to call our own. |

Angela arrives home with our puppy, Ginger.
Her first bath, much needed after living with 10 other puppies for 6
weeks. |

Building on the new house was much delayed by rainstorms,
making a lake out of our lot.
I got the car stuck in the front yard one Sunday afternoon. It just
so happened that a backhoe operator was passing by and stopped to help. We
borrowed a chain from our new neighbors and were rescued.
Another wet day, when we had both of our cars at the land, I gave it a
little gas in my car to keep from getting stuck again, and showered Angela's
car with mud. |

One day, the guy who was grading our lot asked me if I
wanted to have fun. He then threw me the keys and said he was done for the
day. I had a blast! |

Angela looks on as the brickers make the fireplace hearth. |

Little puppies need lots of sleep. Here Ginger dozes
in the kitchen.
Out in the front yard, Ginger found out that she really does like
Starbucks. Boy, was Angela happy to discover that.
Ah, nothing like warm clothes right out of the drier. |
 |
At "Donuts for Dads" at the kids' school, Devin got
embarrassed as his female classmate sitting across from him smiled at him. |
 |
Eek! That looks like a momma spider who needs a Calgon
bath. "Take it away!" |

 |
Poor little Ginger has so much curiosity and very little
experience. She stuck her paw through a hole in the fence, and the German
shepherd next-door placed a territorial bite on her mitt. The vet
sewed her up with seven stitches.
While she was loopy from the drugs, we sat her next to the vet's cat. |

 |
Building a house is an exercise in patience. There's a lot
of waiting. Dad takes a break from supervising and guards workers' boots
while the driveway gets poured.
Angela helps the trim-guys install their newly created shelving collage. |

 |
A long walk to the front door.
Angela helped Caitlin and Devin put their hand-prints and signatures in
the driveway cement. |
 |
We took Ginger back to see her parents. She and her mom,
Gracie, wouldn't stop playing. It was quite touching. |

The Cross's cat and dog love to box. Looks like the feline
has the upper hand and the pooch is in distress mode. |
