January saw some white Texas days. What fun! |

 |
Caitlin is a very picky eater. But we found out she likes
Chinese food! Can't say the same for Devin. We brought macaroni and cheese
for him to eat and he still wasn't happy. |

Angela is coaching the Upward Cheerleading 1st grade squad
(even though she's never cheered in her life). Caitlin is cheering in the
squad and she's "so into it." During the squad's first performance, the head
cheerleader was supposed to count them off to start the cheer, but she
froze, like a deer in headlights. From the back of the line, Caitlin sensed
the problem and sprung into action, counting the team off and leading
through the whole cheer. In the bottom picture, the girls line up to cheer
as the basketball teams are introduced amidst smoke and loud music. They
didn't do this kind of cool stuff when I was that age...it's not fair. |

Angela's grandpa on her mother's side, Marcus Fechenbach,
passed away after a long illness. He spent a fulfilling career as an air
traffic controller in the army and then at DFW Airport. Here an officer
presents Grandma Fechenbach with the folded flag. He was interred at the
Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery. |

 |
Caitlin performed at the school PTA meeting with her class.
They begun with the national anthem and leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
Apparently a couple of the children were confused as to which way to face
during the pledge because of the large lady in the front row wearing a
patriotic muumuu.
Caitlin performs with her class to an early 80's disco song sang by
Olivia Newton-John, now heard almost
exclusively in finer aerobics classes. |

Angela and the kids enjoy the newly added ice skating rink
at The Parks Mall. |
 |
Devin turned 5!!! Happy Birthday, Devin! The party theme was
turtles. Angela created his birthday cake like a turtle in the sand. |
 |
Here I am pictured with my latest acquisition, a dingy for
my yacht. Actually, this was just the largest boat I could pose next
to at the boat show. |
 |
Next-door neighbor Cruz Camacho has a little too much punch
at a neighbor's Chuck E. Cheese birthday party. |
 |
Introducing "The Morning Crew." That's what Angela calls it
when Cruz and Bailey Cross drop by on every Wednesday and Friday morning to
be bussed to school by the A-Train. |
 |
We hosted a group of 10th grade boys for our church's
Disciple Now weekend. The kids meet in different houses for Bible
study, fun and games, etc. I was more tired after that weekend than I can
remember being in a long long time, but it sure was fun. |
