Caitlin and Devin wrestle an alligator at the Ft. Worth
Zoo. I try to encourage them to be active and have a can-do attitude. I
think this shows that it's really paying off. |
 |
Caitlin howls with joy while speeding along on
Six Flag's Titan rollercoaster. This coaster has the longest drop of any
roller coaster currently at 255 feet. It's just crazy! I thought Caitlin
would be scared to death, but she loved it. Even though the picture shows
her in massive terror, she's smiling on the inside, and she rode it twice. |
 |
Caitlin and Reagan Cross help Devin celebrate his height
increase over the summer which allows him to ride more rides at Six Flags. |
 |
We ride the Conquistador at the top. Many years ago when I
was riding this ride, I was sitting next to a young boy who had seen me
enter the ride from my wheelchair. He asked me how I got hurt. I told him
that the previous year I had been riding this very same ride, had raised my
hands up off the bar and then fell out of the ride, breaking my back. He
looked at me suspiciously and then said, "You're not telling the truth." I
laughed it off. Then as the ride got to it's highest position, as customary
I raised my hands up off the bar and into the air. The little boy
practically leapt into my lap, putting his arms in front of me and screamed
in terror, "NOooo!!!" |

|
Devin, Caitlin, Reagan and Bailey Cross ride the spinning
teacups. Everyone is having an absolute blast except for Bailey.
You can see in the second picture she looks a little unhappy to have
agreed to ride with these hoodlums.
The happy riders exit, ready for more action.
Bailey, exits with help from dad and fights back the tears. |
 |
A beautiful day with a beautiful gal. |
 |
Lexi, the German Shepherd from next door, decides to join in
the fun and breaks through the fence so she can greet Ming, Mom Reid's
doggy. |
 |
Here she is, Ming, dressed up in her Halloween costume. |
 |
Caitlin and Bailey at a local junior high school's fall
carnival. We all made it through the longest haunted house I've ever been in.
Devin rode in my lap and hid his face most of the time though. |
 |
While waiting in line for the haunted house, Devin's Scooby
Doo costume drew the attention of several sixth grade girls. Devin was so
incredibly embarrassed, all he could do is hide his face. What a
lady-killer. |
 |
Devin takes a long plunge down a slide at our church's
Festival 31. The festival drew over 10,000 people. |
 |
Devin riding a pony ride at Festival 31. Perhaps you've
heard of the dog and pony show? |
 |
Caitlin does her Gene Simmon's impersonation. Scary, huh? |
 |
The mighty four, Kitty Caitlin, Spidey Christopher, Doo
Devin, and Ninja Cruz! |
