After a very impressive run, our pet Beta fish went to the
great fish aquarium in the sky. Well, actually, he's in our rose garden, but
it's nice there, lots of flowers. Here the crew mourns our loss as Caitlin
gets ready to dump some flower-petals on the gravesite.
But never fear. A new fish was found at a store down the street.
And he looks exactly like Lucky. To come up with a new name, we
brainstormed and then voted. It was unanimous. Angela's name won, and the
kids are none the wiser..."Sushi!" It rolls off the tongue very
easily. |
 |
We were afraid that the kids would be terrified in the
smoky, dark mazes of Laser Tag, but they had an absolute blast. I
didn't know that it was possible to achieve a negative score in the game,
but Devin proved it so. |

Devin peeks out of the trampoline jail at the Nances'
house. |

Stephanie Cross's birthday celebration was at Benny
Hannah's. Here our cook fries us up some Japanese chef fingers, a delicacy
in Asia. |

 |
Devin leans into the pitch at Jacob Drabik's (cousin)
birthday party.
Angela leans over to fill up more water balloons. Charity (Angela's
sister) scores a direct hit on Angela with a water balloon. At least
that's what Angela told me happened. |

 |
Koolaid drinkboxes have gone missing for the past weeks
around our house. So I setup a surveillance camera and caught this
thief red-handed, or actually purple-handed after he drank this
grape-flavored variety.
Gotcha! |

 |
Labor Day we paid a long-overdue visit to our fish friends
at Joe Pool Lake Marina. They have really grown since Springtime, fed
on Mrs. Bairds best until they are about to pop.
Cruz Camacho, Caitlin and Devin get ready to carbo-load for the ride
home. |

One word, "monkey." |

 |
Devin finally made it up the tree. This gave Caitlin
the drive to get up, too, which she did.
Can you spot the kiddo? |
 |
Caitlin caught a butterfly and quickly decided to store it
in an unaerated jar. Grandma is in the distance tending to the
fur-ball in the next picture. |

|
Adam and Sarah Boyette (my niece and her husband) brought
over a 6 week old, 1 lb 7 oz furball which they recently adopted. He
wasn't feeling well at all, so Grandma was giving him some TLC on the front
lawn. His name is Wesley. |
