June 2002 Pictures

Devin and Caitlin began swim lessons again at Emler Swim School.

Speedsoft did a redesign of their web site that just went live at www.emlerswim.com.

Greg gets an opportunity to sing The Beatles' "Birthday" to Bailey Cross on her 4th birthday party.

Caitlin pins the tail on the mermaid, but she's off in right-field. It looks like the characters are laughing at her.

Bailey looks at the cake as all of the other kids await the feast.

Devin takes a shot at the mermi?/font>ata. I always make it a point to tell him not to hit girls, but we made an exception this time.

Poor mermaid.

The kids make a dash for the mermaid inerds.

All this excitement is just too much for Greg and he passes out on the Cross's couch afterwards as Caitlin looks on in disgust.

Devin's eyes were definitely bigger than his stomach. At least it's a healthy snack.
Caitlin and Devin both learned to swing themselves this month. Yeah!
Devin jiggles his multi-color-flashlight-pokey-fiber-toy-thing that he got from Six Flags.

Our neighbor's bird-dog decided he really really wanted to come over and play. He ate through the wood fence and squeezed through. He was so excited about making it through that he caught a baby dove and killed it. Quite a life-experience for the kids and me. It was a sight to see the mommy dove dive-bombing the dog in retaliation.
Devin throws some flower petals at the grave-side ceremony for the dove in Angela's rose garden.

Our friend Tony Fincannon opened his fifth Miracles Auto Painting store. At the grand opening they had a classic car contest. Here Devin, Caitlin, and Reagan Cross model some of the cars.
I had guys game night where we played 42 and X-Box. The guys really got into the battle mode of "Arctic Thunder" where they were able to beat up on each other in a simulated snowmobile war.

Devin goes head-to-head at Chuck E. Cheese against one his own size playing, what-else, "Arctic Thunder." The second picture shows his component leaving in defeat. I wonder how Devin got so good at that game?
Caitlin and Devin lounge relaxingly in the blow-up pool in the backyard.
Three almost identical vans parked in front of our house. One belongs to our neighbor, one to Angela's sister, Charity, and the third to the Crosses. I just wanted to state for the record that we were not having a van convention that day.

Fielder Road Baptist Church had "Splashes of Summer" where Devin eagerly awaited the opportunity to slide down the water hill and splash his Sunday School teacher, Mr. Gene.

Angela's mom, Loretta, got the ride of her life on my brother, Ron's, big, bad machine. He's not really a Hell's Angel, but a Dallas sheriff's deputy on his day off.

Peyton Poteet celebrates his first birthday. Caitlin and Devin orchestrate a dive in unison. Peyton makes short work of his cake.
Aw...
