Spring winds mean kite-flying!
Devin makes a great kite-chaser for when the kite decides to take a dive out of
the sky. In this picture, he's in the lower-left corner. |

Caitlin and Devin ride their bikes very well now without
training wheels. Last month, Devin was riding solo and now so is Caitlin.
I got Devin some orange cones to help him work on his technique and
accuracy by setting up obstacle courses. He works on going up small curbs,
twisting through quick turns, offroading it, riding with one hand, and
hopping down curbs. |

Mommy got a bubble machine so the whole neighborhood can
enjoy the wonders of soap, water, and air. |

 |
Caitlin enjoys using her
Heely skate shoes at the
skating rink.
Devin enjoys his time at the rink as a spectator. Those stinking things
make you fall down too much. |

Transplanted Irises from Mamaw Speed's backyard show their
high-horticulture-heritage. There are so many blooms and they are so large,
there are some that the plant can't even hold up. |

A nice Spring day at Red Kane Park on a trail through the
woods.
Watch your wheel, there's a venomous snake. Of course Angela threw a large
stick at it to see if it was alive. Then it ate her. Reminds me of when
she threw a large stick at
what we thought was a hornets' nest.
Serves me right. I put my hand near the ground and pretended to have
food. So, the wild squirrel bit my thumb! |

Caitlin models her new gown before the Daddy/Daughter dance
at her school. |

Caitlin and Devin play with our neighbor and Caitlin's best
friend, Tori, in the sprinkler out back. |

I had the joy of coaching our basketball team which played
in our church league. I called our big guy, Kyle, "Chief" after a character
in the incredible film "One
Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Our Chief would just stand there and
people would run into him and fall backwards. |

Angela played on our church class volleyball team. Here she
goes up for a powerful spike!
The team, who went 7-0 in the regular season, lost the championship game
in the final tournament.
I made up a handful of cheers for the team, who were named the "Night
Owls." Caitlin helped me cheer with memorable chants such as "Who, who, who,
who, who let the owls out!" and "Who's that hittin' that volleyball, I said,
who, who?" |

Hmmm...ummm...uhhh...I don't know what to say. |
