Another in the Childhood Picture-A-Month series circa 1974. Randy
(brother), me, Debbie (sister), and our half-Pekingese, half-Dachshund
dog, Bulltwinkle. I was told the name came from the feeling that she was
sometimes good, and sometimes bad. |

Devin's third birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese! |
 |
The excitement was a little much for poor Devin who was in
a stink all day at the party. Here he is trying to duck in a corner to get
away from it all. |
 |
We love Scooby-Doo and that was Devin's birthday theme.
Angela made this awesome edible version of the "Mystery
Machine." |
 |
Devin needs a little help from Caitlin blowing out the
candles because he was too worn out from pouting. |
 |
This at least got his mind off of things: tearing into the
birthday loot! |

This one warrants some explanation. I heard Caitlin
screaming and crying one day and came in to find her trapped in her room.
I tried to enter the door, but it wouldn't budge. After calming her down
somewhat I determined what had happened. She had taken every pillow,
bean-bag, blanket, you-name-it from all over the house and put it in her
room, specifically stacking it up in front of her door. Then she panicked
when she wanted to get out. These pictures are the aftermath. |

Devin takes a ride on a fish-shaped-tile-art-thingy at the
mall. |
 |
Angela's too young for her second childhood, but not too
old to use a booster seat. And playing with Play-doh no less. |
 |
Caitlin coated her lips with lipstick and then proceeded to
decorate the island countertop in the kitchen with her kisses...all the
way around, not just what you see in the picture. (The shirt she is
wearing is tie-dye, so no, she didn't get it all over her shirt.) |
 |
Devin takes another ride at the mall, but this time on
Scooby-Doo in the Warner Bros. store. |
 |
Caitlin's class at the Early Childhood Learning Center had
a dress-up day. Here is Caitlin dressed up in her ballet outfit with Suzy
Science the Science Teacher. |
 |
Old friends, Angela, Kristine Clary, and Susan Pierce. Have
you ever seen so many teeth? |
 |
Greg and Angela dined with Rod and Lee Bryant at a favorite
Japanese restaurant. Rod and Lee are leaders in our Sunday School class. |
 |
With the weather starting to get sunny and nice, Caitlin
and Devin went outside to play. They found their turtle-shaped sand box
filled with rain water. Sounds like a good enough idea and fun; let's jump
in with all of our clothes on in 40-something degree weather! |

Caitlin tries her hand at ribbon-dancing. |
 |
By showing this picture, I guess it proves I have no
shame...or no self-esteem, one of the two. I went in to watch a video with
Caitlin in her room just before bedtime and ended up passing out myself.
Only after she offered me a pillow and blanket of course. Angela likes to
say, "Who put whom to bed?" |
