As promised last month, I will try to give you one picture
each month of my
childhood days.
This is me when I was 1 in California. Can you stand the excitement? |

 |
Devin talks the talk, then pounces on Bailey, our friends'
(Charles and Stephanie Cross) two-year-old girl. Below that picture it seems he is already feeling that
closed-in feeling that relationships so often create. |
 |
Caitlin with Reagan Cross. Don't Caitlin and he make a
cute, albeit pink and fuzzy, couple. |
 |
Angela puts up Christmas cards in a vertical fashion.
Something about Angela,
Christmas, and
heights. |
 |
As it got colder this month, Caitlin and Devin enjoyed a
cup of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace. |
 |
Caitlin and Devin help mommy make Christmas cookies. |

 |
Angela had three of her wisdom teeth removed this month. In
the first picture, you can see how she is enjoying the laughing gas,
"ah..." Below
that, Dr. Shroyer digs in. Angela ended up getting dry socket in one place.
That was a lot of fun and added to her enjoyment of the holidays
greatly.
I know, if you haven't wondered already, you are now thinking, "Geez,
does Greg take that camera everywhere?" And the answer is yes.
The doctor got a kick out of the picture taking, wanted to see the
images on the digital camera, and even posed for a
shot that you can see here (a big guy, the doctor). (The nurse initially told me I'd have to
leave, but when the doc entered I said, "Now I have to leave,
right?" He said, "Na." I knew he would.)
|
 |
Good friends of ours, Todd Lewis and Kristin Jordan, were
married. Greg was a groomsman in the wedding. Todd is
guitarist for Sycamore. |
 |
Kenneth and Linda Speed in a holiday pose. |
 |
The Speeds' Christmas money-shot. |
 |
Do everyone else's kids dress in all sorts of outlandish
getups and then want you to take a picture?
Devin's potty-trained and wearing briefs. All moms and dads out there say,
"Yea!"
|
 |
Angela hosted our Sunday School class's "Ladies Friends
and Fellowship" this month at our house. |
 |
The kids tell Santa how much they love him. |
 |
This picture of Devin is so cute. Somehow it's too
cute. It makes you get the urge to pull him away from the tree
before he jerks it over onto himself. Something bad has got to
happen. |
 |
Caitlin and fashion crisis number 34. Yes those are
undergarments on her head and pink GooTM
in her hand. |
 |
Texas Ice Storm. |

 |
Christmas Eve at Greg's parents' house. Tradition has it
that every grandchild brings a musical instrument or other performance
piece to entertain the rest of us. Here is a panoramic shot of the
festivities where Lindsey Rowan, Greg's niece, is playing the flute.
The panorama is also available in a very
large version. |

 |
Caitlin and Devin unwrap their one gift, ... yeah right. |

 |
The kids in the snow!
|
 |
The kids with their snowman, some sort of horrid tormented
snow-creature with a leafy-substance protruding from it's head. It's
sickening to look at really. But cute of course because the kids made it! |
 |
Ah, the holidays. The kids put up a play tent in the living
room and filled it with assorted blankets and pillows. Greg climbed in and
fell asleep. I think it has something to do with how the fumes of a burning fire
inside the house make one drowsy. Wish we had a fireplace. |
 |
Mom and Dad came over for Christmas dinner. |

 |
Greg got a chance to play rock-star on New Years Eve with
the Brenton
Scott band. It was his first rock-gig since playing his last concert
with Sycamore in January 2000. Lots of fun. |
