We begin this month with a dare-devil leap for life
with Devin at the park. |

Yes, after the recent accidental deaths (three of
them) of our goldfish friends, we have
supposedly found a fool-proof water-dweller, a beta. This fish has a
third-lung (really) that allows it to breath air, which is great for
living in a non-aerated fish-bowl. After much deliberation, Angela came up
with our award-winning name for this, the fourth fish in our household in
as many weeks: "Lucky." Let's hope he is. |
 |
Devin got a cool new building block set from Nana and
Papa that we set up under his fort/bed. You build it up, and then drop
marbles from the top and watch them go through assorted spinning thingies
and follow the paths you made for it. Devin loves it. It's interesting
enough to get me under there, too. |

Devin sticks his head out of the fort window. |

Caitlin plays under the fort. |

Finally, a little night walk in the lovely early-Fall
evening. I raced around the kids, playing monster with them. When we got
back I collapsed on the couch. The next morning I was so sore I could
barely get up. To which I could only exclaim to Angela, "No, really,
I was in the Paralympics
once...really!" |
